Advisory
When a project question needs an independent evaluation.
Clarify the owner’s priorities, examine what is known and identify assumptions that need to be tested. Advisory can help the design team establish requirements or give the owner a separate perspective before a proposal, approach or completed system is accepted.
Work may include
Owner discovery, technology briefs, requirements and scope definition, existing-system assessment, proposal review, alternatives and recommendations.
The team and owner understand the question, the tradeoffs and the recommended next step.

Design Services
When a design decision needs verified technology requirements.
Develop technology design information that responds to the owner’s brief and coordinates with the architecture and interiors. Establish equipment, control and infrastructure requirements with the relevant specialists, so design details can be resolved on a sound technical basis.
Work may include
Technology plans, system designs, a basis of design and documentation appropriate to the engagement scope. Detailed drawings and construction documents are included only when agreed in scope.
The design team has the information it needs, with the owner’s priorities reflected in the design.

Cost Planning
When the owner needs a clear basis for the investment.
Reconcile proposals against the brief and explain what is driving the cost. Differences in rooms, infrastructure, controls, allowances and support are made visible, so a price comparison also reflects what the owner is being asked to authorize.
Work may include
Planning budgets, scope reconciliation, proposal comparisons, bid leveling and evaluation of alternatives or phased investments.
The owner can weigh the investment alongside design, performance, usability and long-term operation.

Construction Coordination
When an agreed decision needs to stay connected to the work.
Work with the builder, designers, integrator and trades to evaluate field conditions, resolve technology interfaces and assess proposed changes. An agreed completion review can compare delivery with documented requirements and identify outstanding work for the responsible parties.
Work may include
Coordination of equipment locations, access, power, cabling, shade pockets and millwork; review of relevant submittals, changes or completed work within the agreed scope.
The relevant specialists have clear next actions, and the project lead has a documented basis for follow-through.
Commercial clarity
A defined engagement. An agreed fee.
The engagement can address a single issue or a defined phase. Further work requires agreement; no equipment purchase or ongoing commitment is required.
Responsibilities remain clear
LTC takes responsibility for its contracted consulting work and recommendations. Design authority and project management stay with the appointed team. Engineering, equipment supply, installation, programming, commissioning and ongoing support remain with the responsible specialists under their contracts.
